While the App store isn’t even 2 years old yet, the numbers of apps that has surfaced on the App store is as abundant as plankton in the vast ocean. Therefore those of us at AGG have compiled a list of the 10 best iPhone games for real gamers, and that is not to be confused that any of these 10 games are even remotely hard-core games, they are not. It simply means that these are totally unique games on … More…

We rarely review a game twice but we fell in love with Dragon Age Origins, even more so on our 2nd run, and thought we would break this rule and write another article about it. Be forewarned that the following article will contain spoilers, as a matter of fact it will contain nothing but spoilers. If you are not ready for it (which means you haven’t played the game), read our first relatively spoiler-free review. How do we end up … More…

Assassin’s Creed 2 was a pleasant surprise, that it trumps its prequel in every way that was possible, was not something we had anticipated. The fist Assassin’s Creed was not a terrible game, we even admitted that we liked the game for the fleeing moments that it lasted — while itsĀ grave mistake of repetitive mission structure (only 3 different mission types) was inexcusable, its uniqueness lay in building upon the basic Prince of Persia gameplay, lifting it onto a … More…

Over the years we had been assuming that how good a game was is totally unrelated to how long it was, and we thought that the world would agree with us. But that was not the case as we have learned from various articles and review scores, and simply people we knew, that their decision of purchasing a game, and the worth of their purchase, is directly proportional to the hours they get out of it. We didn’t understand why. … More…

Many so-called Video Game Journalists has speculated on the failure of Xbox 360 in Japan and has blamed it on xenophobia and I assume they actually know what the word means with their limited college education and average intelligence. Those of us at AGG know exactly why, not because we are smart and insightful and are real writers instead of stupid journalists, we ARE all those and more, but that’s besides the point, it is because we are Asian. Anyone … More…

We knew that when we got our hands on Dragon Age: Origins, we would not be able to do anything else for 60 hours except eat and sleep and basic lavatory needs, barely even that. Developed by Bioware, Dragon Age: Origins, is exactly what a cRPG fan would expect if he WAS a fan of Bioware, but what cRPG fan would not be a fan, because for a decade or so it seemed like it was the only company making … More…

I am probably the only person in the world who is going to criticize Uncharted 2, not that it is bad or anything, it is like eating junk food — a bag of crispy potato chips with a root beer ice cream float, knowing it is bad for your health but you will savor every last drop and morsel anyway. It is like picking up the best-looking girl in the bar and finding out later that you have to pay … More…

A few weeks ago we received the Blackwell series to add to the pile of games we plan to review after the launch of AGG and it quickly rose to the top as one of our favorites among the AGS scene. The Blackwell series is developed by Dave Gilbert and published by Wadjet Eye Games, as one of the first few commercially sold AGS games. Dave Gilbert became a celebrity in the indie adventure scene after his controversial and award-winning … More…
