About

Our Mission — We write timeless articles about games and their cultural impact on the world from the perspective of an Asian American.

Asian Girl Gamer is about gaming culture and the constantly shifting gaming market, seen from the viewpoint of an Asian girl who happens to be a hardcore gamer. If Escapist Magazine spawned a love child with Kotaku, we would be that site. What we write is timeless so we aren’t covering exciting news and previews on the horizon. It makes no difference whether we are writing about a game 2 weeks old or 20 years old, as long as we think it has important cultural impact and deem it worthy of being recognized to have made a foothold in gaming history, then we will give it and in-depth analysis. That or we will also write about anything interesting about Asian culture.

We are actively looking for guest writers who would want to showcase their writing skills. We prefer female Asian writers but we won’t turn you down because of your nationality and physiology, as long as you have a poetic and sarcastic prose which expresses your love of Asian culture and excellent taste in gaming. Please email asiangirlgamer@gmail.com with a sample of your writing (anything gaming related) to be considered.

Our Charismatic Staff:

zillaZilla – Hi All. I am the founder of AsianGirlGamer.com. I am an Asian girl who loves gaming. With my busy schedule nowadays, I read about games more than I play them, but I try my best to stay very integrated into the gaming culture. I created this site to have a voice on the internet and we also invite others to cordially join our community as guest writers, just to talk about gaming and people like me who play them. I also founded the Balloon Comic Site ZillyMonkey.com. My favorite genre is point and click adventures and my favorite games include Monkey Island and Diablo.

jetfableJetFable – Cheers, I am the technical adviser, chief editor and writer at AsianGirlGamer. I am a jack-of-all-trades that does a lot of odd jobs, including being the author of the suspense novel Pillars, and the designer and programmer for the iPhone App – Summation. I grew up being constantly immersed in games. My favorite games include Ultima IV and King of Fighters 02.
