Have you been anticipating Final Fantasy XIII ever since you saw the trailer? With all that hype built up I am pretty sure the actual game is going to disappoint but changes are you will pre-order it anyway. But hay, the character design looks sexy and that’s all it matters.
Today our sponsor Unitoyzone brings you the set of Play-Arts Figures, coming in the same month as the game. See their action on screen and act out your own scenes at home. The first three action figures to come are Lightning, Snow and Vanille, the three who made their appearances in the trailers.
Lightning, the stoic, androgynous beauty is the cover girl of the game, who first showed up in the first trailer kicking serious ass with herĀ short sword-gun combo, similar in appearance to Squall’s Gunblade from Final Fantasy VIII. Lightning was formerly a member of the Holy Government army who probably quit voluntarily, not much else is known about her for now. The only thing we could see was her deadly elegance during the action scenes.
Snow Villiers is the complete opposite of Lightning in terms of fighting style and attitude. The big and burly young man is a powerhouse attacker, the sculptors crafted his large frame and rugged appearance . Story-wise, he works in the colony world of Cocoon as an l’Cie, one of the “chosen people” of the universe as deemed by the supernatural existence known as the fal’Cie. He is branded on his left arm with a mark which gives him power.
I
n the latest trailer, we were introduced to the beautiful Oeba Dia Vanille, friend to Lightning and Snow. She is seen being taken away by guards waiting to be expelled to Pulse, a world underneath Cocoon. We don’t know the exact reason but it seems she may be deemed having a bad influence on Cocoon. Vanille’s weapon looks like a contraption made of curvy tree branches and can be folded. Her fashion is considerably different than her 2 friends so we suspect that Cocoon is a melting pot of different cultures. While poise and cheerful, there seems to be a tragic story behind her.
If you want these action figures, Pre-order them in Unitoyzone now. And we are still debating whether to get the game on PS3 or 360. We’ll see when the verdict is out.
